Elan Chalon will face-off against Besiktas in the 2012 Eurochallenge finale, after they swept aside Triumph Lyubertsy Moscow 84-69.

It was a confident and professional display from Chalon, who were led by the tremendous Blake Schlib, who led all scorers with 29 points on 11/15 shooting, including a perfect 5/5 from behind the arc.

Abdul Aminu also contributed for the victors as he recorded a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

After edging the first quarter, the French side looked to be cruising as they were up 49-33 at the half, as Schlib hit an incredible fadeaway triple at the buzzer.

But the Russians fought back in the third period and brought it to five points in the fourth quarter at 72-67. Chalon’s Michel Jean-Baptiste-Adolphe and Malcolm  Delaney both fouled out as the tide was swinging into Triumph’s favour. Jerry Jefferson, who hit 26 for the Moscow side was on a mission to claw the game back.

However, the French side were too strong and restored their double-digit lead thanks to free throws late on from Nicolas Lang to finally sink their opponents.
