Montepaschi Siena’s Bo McCalebb has won the Alphonso Ford scoring trophy despite missing out on back-to-back Final Four trips.

In 17 games, the Macedonian international averaged 16.8 points a contest for the Italian side as his side fell short by losing in the quarter-final playoff series to Olympiacos.

McCalebb, hit by injury this season which forced him to miss a chunk of games hit double-digit figures in all 17 Euroleague games and went beyond the 20-point mark four times. The point guard shot an incredble 52 percent from the three-point line, as he tied for the highest accuracy rate along with colleague Tomas Ress, plus, he shot over 63 percent from two-point range.

MIROTIC WINS RISING STAR AWARD

Real Madrid’s Nikola Mirotic has won this season’s Euroleague Rising Star award.

The 21-year-old started in 15 out of the 16 games played for Real Madrid this season, averaging 12.5 points a game. The young forward piled up impessive stat lines throughout, averaging 5 assists and shooting 91.8 percent from the foul line.

Both players will receive their awards at the Efes Pilsener awards ceremony at the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul on May 12th.
