Olympiacos’ Vassilis Spanoulis will be out for three weeks or more after spraining his ankle at practice last night.

Spanoulis, who is the second highest scorer in the Euroleague this season, didn’t travel to Nancy, where his side will complete their ten-game regular season in France on Thursday night.

This leaves a massive hole in Olympiacos’ scoring stat. Where the Greece international has averaged 19 points-per-game. The only other player that averages anywhere close to Spaoulis is Kyle Hines, who averages 11 points-per-contest. They are the only two double-figure scorers for the Reds.

Olympiacos could be without their main threat for the early stages of the Top 16. The club has come to a verbal agreement with Marko Jaric, although their coach Dusan Ivkovic must give the OK for the transfer to go through.
