Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward was forced to leave the game against the Indiana Pacers, due to a head injury.

Hayward took a blow took to the face in the third quarter, which did not produce a broken nose, yet it did not let him return to the floor.

The versatile forward said his injury is not serious, however it is still unclear whether he will enter the NBA’s concussion protocol.

“I just got hit in the nose and immediately couldn’t really see much and felt pretty dizzy. I think because of that, I had to come back here and go through the concussion [testing] and make sure that everything was OK.

I still have a pretty good headache right now, but hopefully by tomorrow it should be good. So, we’ll see tomorrow morning,” Hayward said afterwards.

Hayward, who missed 13 games due to a broken left hand, will undergo further medical tests and may miss tonight’s (12/12) game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
