The Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Damian Lillard was asked by Rebecca Harlow of MSG Networks about forward Carmelo Anthony’s contribution to the team:
“His presence has been huge in the locker room, having another voice, another guy to speak up that people respect. When we on the floor, other teams respect him being out there. The balance that he’s giving us on the floor and off the floor has been great. It’s been a joy to have him on our team,” Lillard said, per ClutchPoints.
Through 11 games this season, Anthony, who was named Western Conference Player of the Week, has been averaging 15.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting at 40.6% from the field.
The Blazers are 5th in the Northwest Division with a 10-15 record.
