Lokomotiv Kuban has today announced Bozidar Maljkovic as their new headcoach.

Maljkovic, one of the greatest European coaches having won four Euroleague titles with three different clubs, has signed a three years deal.

Andrey Vedishchev, the club’s General Manager commented on Maljkovic hiring: “We have decided to invite Bozidar Maljkovic to take in charge because we feel that the team is in the process of transforming from a mid-level club to a top level club. This is why we needed an experienced coach, who knows how to get the maximum result and help us build a modern basketball organisation. He is prepared to work not only with the core of the team, but also with youth players.” amongst others.

Bozidar Maljkovic stated: “I started coaching at the age of 20 and have always aimed at achieving the best result. When I talked to Andrey (Vedishchev) I saw a very ambitious and serious man in his eyes, who is genuinely preoccupied with his club. He was interested in my coahing services in order to build a top club together. A club that would be on pay with giants like CSKA Moscow, Real Madrid and Barcelona. I found this interesting and we got to work.”
