Kestutis Kemzura who faces a tough task of leading Lithuania to EuroBasket 2011 announced a 20-man list of candidates for the national team.
The list includes eight players who were on the team that won bronze in World Championship in Turkey and six veterans.
Kemzura will try to fuse a team of both young players as well as experienced stars.
“The date of birth in player’s passport doesn’t to matter”, Kemzura said. He also made it clear several times that he wants the best players available regardless of their age.
Lithuania’s goal is to qualify for London Olympic Games directly by reaching EuroBasket final.
Players will gather to the first training camp in Druskininkai which will start on July 18.
