Few domestic leagues in Europe are offering plus/minus-statistics. Two of them are Italian Lega A and German BBL. Even though they only have them in boxscores and not as accumulated stats in player/team profile, it is better than nothing.

Out of interest I had a look at oncourt/offcourt plus/minus of selected players from both leagues – eight each. For Euroleague plus/minus-stats, click here.

My first look was at Pietro Aradori. Aradori hasn’t really been embraced yet by the European basketball scene quite simply due to his absence from international competition so far, as well as the lack of interest Lega A is generating in an era of stunning Montepaschi Siena dominance.

Aradori put up spectacular individual boxscore numbers this season, averaging 16.8 points and 5 rebounds per game while shooting 49.8 percent from two and 39.3 percent from three. However, plus/minus tells a different story with Biella, which finished 2nd from bottom this season, winning by a 2.27 point margin in 40 minutes when Aradori is off the floor. They’re minus 6.42 when he’s on. Red flag?
