In the first round of group B in the EuroCup, Partizan NIS won 66-63 against Umana Reyer Venezia and started its European competition with a win.

The club from Italy was hosting the team from Serbia in the season opener, but it wasn’t able to celebrate in front of its own crowd.

In the first and the last quarter, Partizan was better (first – 11:19 and fourth – 16:18), while the hosts scored more points in the second and the third (second – 17:11 and third – 19:18).

Rashawn Thomas was the best for Partizan with 11 points and 13 rebounds (4 offensive and 9 defensive), while the top scorer was Marcus Paige with 14 points. Ognjen Jaramaz added 12 and William Mosley ended the match with 10.

For the home team, Michael Bramos was the only player with a double-digit score. The Greek-American small forward/shooting guard scored 12 points.

In the next EuroCup round, Partizan will host Tofas Bursa in Belgrade, while Umana Reyer Venezia is traveling to Russia to play against Lokomotiv Kuban.
