The Miami Heat and head coach Erik Spoelstra have agreed to a multi-year contract extension, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

With one year left on Spoelstra’s current deal with the Heat, the two sides have reached an agreement that will keep the experienced coach in Miami until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Spoelstra took over Miami in 2007 and has won the NBA title twice (2012, 2013). He has become the league’s second-longest-tenured active coach with one team, trailing only San Antonio’s Gregg Popovich.
