Ex-NBA big man Amar’e Stoudemire, who hasn’t played in the NBA since 2015-16, was asked why he thinks Joe Johnson has returned to the NBA (Johnson signed with the Detroit Pistons for one year-deal) while he hasn’t yet:
“Joe played last year (2017-18 season) in the NBA. So, they’re pretty familiar with him. I was overseas in Israel for three years. So, kinda out of sight, out of mind. We’ll kind of see what happens,” Stoudemire said.
