The head coach of Spain, Sergio Scariolo, stated that his players should not celebrate, despite the great victory over Serbia on Sunday (08/09).

Here is what the experienced coach told reporters in the post-game press conference:

“The seriousness of our jersey is very contagious. We have seen this now and in many other times. Our players know we haven’t done anything.

It’s another thing to be among the four best in the world and, considering the circumstances, would be an incredible thing.

Serbia are still the best alongside the United States. We remain humble and take confidence.”

Spain will battle Poland in the Quarter-finals of the Basketball World Cup on Tuesday (10/09).
