Rimantas KaukenasLithuanian national team suffered another blow after Real Madrid shooting guard Rimantas Kaukenas chose not to play for his country in World Championship 2010. Kestutis Kemzura, head coach of Lithuania NT, told to BTV Sport News that the 33-year-old veteran guard will not play due to family reasons.

The absence of Kaukenas means even bigger headache for Kemezura who will have to deal with with the lack of quality guards in the roster since Sarunas Jasikevicius is not playing either and Arvydas Macijauskas decide to retire from playing basketball.

The rising star 22-year-old shooting guard Martynas Gecevicius of Lietuvos Rytas is now sure to get a very important role on his debut with the national team.

Kaukenas will be forced to look for a new team next season since he is no longer wanted by Ettore Messina in Madrid. Armani Jeans Milano and his former club Montepaschi Siena are thought to be interested in signing the player.
