What was rumoured since last week is now official, Pops Mensah-Bonsu will help Britain National Team in Poland.
The player himself had started the rumours via his official twitter page saying he is returning home, something which sparked rumours and hopes in Britain that he would join the National Team, after all.
The so much needed player, especially the decisions of Deng and Gordon to skip Eurobasket 2009, has missed the entire preparation phase and will need some time to be fully integrated in the team.
"We're really excited to finally have Pops with us. Adding him is a boost; it keeps on strengthening the front line. The challenge now is to make sure we get him in as quickly as possible and hope he is in some sort of shape." said head coach Finch.
