Via an official statement on Friday (19/07), Olympiacos announced they will only play in the EuroLeague in the 2019/20 season.
The “Reds” also revealed they have registered a team to the second division, however this happened only for legal reasons.
Olympiacos made it clear that if they play in the second division, the team will use a different name and not “Olympiacos” and its games will be played in the practice court of the Peace and Friendship Stadium.
The senior team of Olympiacos will play exclusively in the EuroLeague.
Olympiacos was relegated to the second division, following its decision to forfeit Game 1 of the Greek League playoffs against Panathinaikos.
