After winning the EuroCup with Valencia, Matt Thomas joined newly crowned NBA champs the Toronto Raptors, the club announced officially. Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Prior to joining the Raptors Thomas spent two seasons in Spain with Obradoiro and Valencia respectively.
In the title-winning season with Valencia the 24-year-old shooting guard averaged 12.7 points per game making 57.3 percent of his 2-pointers and 47.7 percent of 3-pointers.
