Canada officially announced on Tuesday (16/07) the 29-man preliminary roster for the 2019 Basketball World Cup.

The 29 players that have been invited to attend the national team’s training camp are as follows:

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, R.J. Barrett, Aaron Best, Khem Birch, Chris Boucher, Oshae Brissett, Dillon Brooks, Brandon Clarke, Aaron Doornekamp, Luguentz Dort, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Melvin Ejim, Brady Heslip, Cory Joseph, Mfiondu Kabengele, Naz Mitrou-Long, Trey Lyles, Jamal Murray, Andrew Nembhard, Kelly Olynyk, Kevin Pangos, Dwight Powell, Phil Scrubb, Thomas Scrubb, Marial Shayok, Andy Rautins, Nik Stauskas, Tristan Thompson, Kyle Wiltjer

Canada is heading back to the World Cup for the first time since the 2010 FIBA World Championship after finishing the FIBA Basketball World Cup Americas Qualifiers with a 10-2 record to lead Group F. 

Canada is in Group H for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 and will face Australia (September 1), Lithuania (September 3) and Senegal (September 5) in the First Round.
