At the NBA’s media availability former Duke Blue Devils forward R.J. Barrett and a projected top-3 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft reiterated that he still wants to play for the Knicks, per sny.tv:

“It would mean a lot. My late grandfather, rest in peace, he was the biggest Knicks fan. He always told me I’d play for the Knicks. So it would mean a lot for me to play for the team. I can’t say much more than just you see how I am and what I’ve done so far in my career. I feel like I accept the challenge. And I’m really going to give it everything I’ve got.”

Last season, Barrett averaged 22.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 4.3 assists per game.
