Anadolu Efes defeated Barcelona at home in Game 5 of the EuroLeague playoffs (80-71) and became the last team that secured its spot to the 2019 Final Four.

Barcelona made a better start and led by as many as seven points in the first half. Yet, Anadolu Efes outscored the Catalans 24-14 in the second quarter and was in front by five at halftime (47-42).

Later, the hosts extended their lead to double digits (67-57, 73-63) and sealed the deal, despite the visitors’ late effort to turn things around (73-68, 75-71).

Five players scored in double figures for the winners, with Shane Larkin and Adrien Moerman leading the way with 18 points apiece.

Chris Singleton and Thomas Heurtel were the best players of the losing squad, with 12 points apiece.

Anadolu Efes won the series 3-2 and will return to the Final Four for the first time since 2001. They will face rivals Fenerbahce in the semi-final on May 17. In the second semi-final, Real Madrid will clash with CSKA Moscow.
