The San Antonio Spurs endured the come-back of the Denver Nuggets and earned the victory to “steal” the home-court advantage (96-101).

The Spurs took the lead from the second quarter onwards and never looked back. They led by as many as 12 points and sealed the deal, despite the Nuggets’ late effort to turn things around.

DeMar DeRozan led the winners with 18 points, with Derrick White adding 16 and LaMarcus Aldridge 15.

Six players scored in double figures for the losing squad, as Nikola Jokic made a triple-double (10 points, 14 rebounds, 14 assists).

Game 2 will be played in Denver on Tuesday (16/04).
