Worthing ThunderWith the new BBL season less than two weeks away, Worthing Thunder announce an addition to their coaching team ahead of the Thunder Cup this Saturday (19th).

Jozef Butor (known as Dodi) has agreed to become Coach Dave Titmuss' Senior Assistant Coach for the coming season. Despite only being 30 years of age, he has already accumulated vast coaching experience both in his native Slovakia and here in the UK. Within the UK, he was an assistant to Nick Nurse of the Brighton Bears before becoming head coach of the Thunder under 15s in 2006. From here he went on to become head coach of the London Greenhouse Giants junior programme, which he will continue to do alongside his role with the Thunder.

Operations Director Alan Sweetman-Hicks is pleased that Butor is joining the Thunder "Before he agreed to join us, Dodi sat down with Coach T and they discussed at great length their basketball philosophies. They found they broadly agreed on the way to play the game, so they should work very well together."

Dodi is excited about the challenge ahead, starting with the Thunder Cup this coming Saturday (19th), where the action starts with London Leopards against Guildford Heat at 2pm followed by Thunder against Killester at 3.30 pm. The action continues until the final finishes at approximately 9.00pm. The cost for the whole day is just £3 for all tickets.
