Finding and signing replacement to sacked Pedro Martínez as coach of Cajasol Seville took just a week. Joan Plaza, who was with Real Madrid before being ousted of the Spanish playoff finals, will now be at the helm of Cajasol for the next year with the option of another.
Known for his work in the development of young players, especially in Joventut's youth teams, the 45-year-old won an ACB title and a Eurocup (ULEB Cup by the time) for Real Madrid in the 2006/2007 season, when he became headcoach.
