Long lasting rumours were put to an end after Chuck Eidson signed 2-year contract with Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv. American guard-forward was strongly linked with The Yellows for a while. Eidson had probably the best season of his career both individually and team wise.
He helped Lietuvos Rytas win every single competition that they participated in. Among other trophies Chuck Eidson received Eurocup MVP award. Eidson led Rytas in scoring with 15.9 points. After being placed in a point guard position Eidson became even more useful player. He was giving 5.1 assists per game in Eurocup.
There were slim chances for Eidson to stay in Lithuania as his price rose a lot during this season. Many top teams in Europe were interested in his signature but it was Maccabi who came first the offer that was good enough for a player to take.
Maccabi acted quickly and announced the signing of Chuck Eidson right after they won Israeli league final 85-72 against Maccabi Haifa.
