PanathinaikosPanathinaikos won the Greek cup against Olympiakos in a close game that took place today in Athens. This was the 5th consecutive cup for the Greek Champions and the 12th in their history.

The game started with Panathinaikos in the lead, with strong defence, and good options in the offence, where Mike Batiste and Nikola Pekovic scored some easy shots. Until the halftime (30-32 for Panathinaikos) Thodoris Papaloukas organised Olympiakos game, scoring 10 points. In the second half Olympiakos took the lead for several times, but Dimitris Diamantidis, with 3 three-pointers in a row gave an advantage to his team (64-73 2.57'' before the end). The final score was 70-80 for the Greens. Dimitris Diamantidis was voted MVP of the match, scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
