The New Orleans Pelicans (16-20) past the Dallas Mavericks (16-18) at home 114-112 (26-29, 29-37, 31-22, 28-24) and put an end to a five-game losing streak.

Anthony Davis was the top scorer for the Pelicans with a season-high 48 points (on 20/32 shooting).

In addition, he grabbed 17 boards, handed out 4 assists, blocked 2 shots and tallied 2 steals. Davis scored a fall-away jumper with 43.9 seconds left and set the Pelicans’ victory. Julius Randle posted 22 points (on 9/19 shooting) and 12 rebounds, Jrue Holiday added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists.

On the other hand, Luka Doncic with a career-high 34 points (on 10/16 shooting, including 7/10 from three) led the Mavs. Harrison Barnes scored 21 points (on 7/18 shooting) and 5 rebounds, Dennis Smith Jr. added 14 points and 4 assists, Dirk Nowitzki coming off the bench to post a season-high 11 points (on 4/7 shooting). The Mavericks made 15 on 32 three-point attempts.
