Gran Canaria conceded just 66 points and beat Zalgiris Kaunas to put an end to a two-game losing streak (73-66).

The hosts took control from the opening tip and retained their lead until the end of the first half (20-17, 36-26).

Later, things didn’t change much (57-50), as the Spaniards continued to play great defence. For their part, the visitors were struggling offensively and couldn’t turn things around.

Gran Canaria conceded 17 or fewer points in three of the four quarters and went on to earn a big victory at home (73-66).

Xavi Rabaseda led the winners with 15 points, with Ondrej Balvin and Albert Oliver adding 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Arturas Milaknis had 13 points for the losing squad, with Derrick Walton Jr. and Brandon Davies posting 11 points apiece.

Gran Canaria now is at 6-9, whereas Zalgiris dropped at 7-8.
