The Sacramento Kings (16-13) defeated the Dallas Mavericks (15-13) on the road (113-120) to put an end to an eleven-game Dallas’ home winning streak. The Mavericks lost for the first at home since the loss to the New York Knicks on November 2.

J.J.Barea and Dennis Smith missed the game, therefore Luka Doncic spent more time as the Mavs’ primary ball handler.

The 19-year-old rookie was the Dallas’ top scorer with 28 points, while shooting 9-of-15 from the field, including 1-of-5 from three. In addition, he grabbed 6 boards and handed out 9 assists. Dirk Nowitzki made a home debut after missing the first 26 games of the season. The 40-year-old veteran coming off the bench to post 3 points (on 1/4 shooting) in 8 minutes of action.

Luka Doncic scored 28 points for the Mavs, Harrison Barnes added 15, Wesley Matthews and Jalen Brunson poured in 13 and 12 points, respectively. DeAndre Jordan managed 8 points and a season-high 23 rebounds. The Mavericks made just 9 3-pointers on 35 attemts.

On the other hand, both Buddy Hield (on 12/23 shooting) and De’Aaron Fox (on 11/19 shooting) led the way for the Kings with 28 points, Nemanja Bjelica (10 rebounds) and Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 15 points apiece. The No. 2 overall pick Marvin Bagley missed the game due to injury.
