EuroLeague Basketball will open a disciplinary proceeding concerning the incident between the referees and Dimitris Giannakopoulos.
The competition will investigate the referees’ accusations concerning the verbal assault of Panathinaikos owner against them at halftime.
EuroLeague will examine the referees’ report for the game between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos and it is likely there will be disciplinary consequences.
The sanctions that Dimitris Giannakopoulos received last season have been put on hold and his relationship with the league has been improved.
Yet, the independent judge that will examine the case may decide to impose new sanctions to the “Greens” owner.
