In the close game, the Minnesota Timberwolves (4-8) were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers (5-6) on the road (110-114).

The Timberwolves’ point guard, Derrick Rose, led the team with a game-high 31 points, while shooting 11-of-17 from the floor, including 7-of-9 from three. In addition, he grabbed 3 boards, dished 5 assists, but made 4 turnovers. With 5 seconds left, Rose had an opportunity to outscore the result, but missed the 3-pointer.

Jimmy Butler posted 24 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, Andrew Wiggins added 19 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 5 assists and tallied 3 steals in 41 minutes of action. The Timberwolves set the new franchise’s record, by making 20 3-pointers (on 40 attempts).

On the other hand, LeBron James went for 24 points (on 10/21 shooting), 10 boards and 9 assists. Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart contributed 21 points apiece. Tyson Chandler played for the first time as a Laker. The newest Lakers’ member poured 2 points with 9 rebounds in 23 minutes of action.
