According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Tyson Chandler plans to sign the minimum contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, after finalizing a buyout on the $13.6 million left with the Phoenix Suns.
Speaking about a new teammate, the Lakers’ leader, LeBron James said, per ESPN: “We love the fact that we’re going to get another veteran…A guy who plays hard, a guy who’s very smart and another champion to add to the champions that we have in this system here today, and it adds depth in our frontcourt, which we have had trouble with at times.”
This season, the 36-year-old center is averaging 3.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
