Olympiacos stood tall and endured the comeback of Baskonia to earn their second straight victory in the EuroLeague (2-0).

The “Reds” played excellent for three quarters and had the upper hand over Baskonia in front of a sold-out crowd at the “Fernando Buesa Arena” (52-67). The hosts turned things around, though, and went on a 26-14 run to cut the deficit to three, with a minute to go (78-81).

Yet, Nikola Milutinov scored four straight points and sealed the deal for the Greeks (80-85), who remained on top of the standings. On the other hand, the Basques suffered their first loss in the competition (1-1).

The Serbian center led the “Reds” with 23 points and 11 rebounds, as Vassilis Spanoulis had 11 points and eight assists.

Tornike Shengelia scored a team-high 21 points for the losing squad, with Jayson Granger contributing 17.
