Zalgiris Kaunas head coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius, commented on the incident between his team and Baskonia.
The 42-year-old coach said relatively, per Donatas Urbonas: “I was having a sweet nap, but when I woke up I saw so many messages. You know, it’s a big problem of European basketball. I know many situations when it happened. But as long as I will be coaching Zalgiris, I will fight against it hard.
It was painful to hear from a coach who I respect so much. In my opinion, he is one of the best in Europe. But I can assure that Zalgiris never recorded and will never record any practice. It’s one of my priorities to work with respect – first for yourself.”
Sarunas Jasikevicius was very surprised that Pedro Martinez thought Zalgiris recorded their practice on purpose today: "As long as I'm Zalgiris coach, I will fight against it hard. I can guarantee – you will never hear about Zalgiris anything like that." pic.twitter.com/624N1K1VQQ
