After the Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Sacramento Kings (128-123) in a preseason game, LeBron James spoke with the media and expressed his feelings about the Lakers’ small forward Brandon Ingram, who scored a game-high 31 points and went 10-of-15 from the floor.
After the game, the 14-time NBA All-Star talked about Ingram and said the following, per ESPN: “I thought he was great…His pace, his ability to play the point and play the wing, he’s a very special talent, and we’re definitely happy to have him on our side…I know what I see in him, and he’s looking for this opportunity to make this next jump in his third year…So, it’s a lot of upside in that kid, and I’m happy to try to give him as much as I can.”
Ingram also had nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Last season, the 21-year-old forward averaged 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, while shooting at 47 percent from the field.
