Shareef O’Neal, the son of Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, will miss his first season at UCLA, because of heart surgery.
O’Neal told TMZ on Friday he went to the doctor for a routine checkup. Following the medical examination, he discovered he had a medical issue in his heart.
The 18-year-old player will undergo surgery and will return to the court on time for the 2019/20 season.
