Ahead of the upcoming season, the NBA announced they will make some changes in the rules.
These changes will include the clear path foul rule, the shot clock after offensive rebounds and the definition of the “hostile act”.
More specifically, and starting in the 2018 NBA preseason, the shot clock will reset to 14 seconds in offensive rebounding situations. In addition, the clear path foul rule will be simplified, while the definition of a “hostile act” will be expanded for purposes of triggering instant replay review.
