According to nba.com, 39-year-old former NBA player Elton Brand is a new Philadelphia 76ers General Manager. Brand will replace Bryan Colangelo who lost his position after the scandal with the sharing of “sensitive team information” on Twitter.

The information about Elton Brand promotion to GM is not official so far. As a player Brand started his career as the Chicago Bulls member in 1999. He was selected with the first overall pick by the Bulls and became NBA Rookie of the Year (with Steve Francis).

During his 17-year career Elton Brand scored 15.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 blocks per game. His last 2015-2016 season Brand spent playing for the Philadelphia 76ers and was averaging 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

After retiring as a player Elton Brand continued his career as the player development consultant of the Sixers.
