Khimki guard Alexey Shved spoke with the official website of the Russian Basketball Federation and referred to the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
Here is what the Russian guard said:
On playing for the national team in the next FIBA windows (November and February): “I also hope that we will qualify. Will I play for the national team during the season? Let’s see how it works out. I would like to play for both the club and the national team, but it’s not for me to decide.”
On how complicated things have become with the Qualifiers: “We will think about this together with the leadership of Khimki and communicate with the team. We were put in such a situation that we have to choose between the club and the national team. It shouldn’t be like that.”
