Kestutis KemzuraKhimki announced on their official website that Kestutis Kemzura left the club by mutual consent. Lithuanian coach was rumoured to be fired recently and it came true eventually.

General Manager of Khimki, Viktor Bychkov said that the reason why Kemzura lef the team was bad results of the team.

During the time when Kemzura was the head coach Khimki won its first trophy – Russian Cup. The club also finished 2nd and 3rd in the Russian league.

Oleg Meleschenko will take over as head coach for the meanwhile. He could be replaced by Sergio Scariolo according to Italian press.

As we reported, Kestutis Kemzura is among three candidates to become the head coach of Latvia.
