Luka Doncic will not play for Slovenia in September’s WC Qualifiers

European champions Slovenia took to Twitter and announced their roster for September’s WC Qualifiers, with 2018 EuroLeague and ACB MVP, Luka Doncic, not joining the team for the matches against Latvia (away) and Turkey (home).

Klemen Prepelic of EuroLeague champions Real Madrid will not be available as well, whereas Anthony Randolph will play in both matches.

Slovenia are on the brink of elimination, as they are sixth in the group (2-4 record) and have to remain undefeated in the second round of the WC Qualifiers, if they want to advance to the World Cup.

Spain is first in the Group (6-0), with Turkey (4-2) and Latvia (4-2) being second and third, respectively. Ukraine (3-3) and Montenegro (3-3) are fourth and fifth.
