As the team’s General Manager, Daryl Morey, announced today, Carmelo Anthony has signed an one-year, $2.4M contract with the Houston Rockets.

Anthony waived his no-trade clause and moved from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

With Atlanta immediately waiving him, the 34-year-old All-Star forward had the opportunity to join the Rockets and fight for the NBA Championship.

Anthony averaged 16.2 points with the Thunder last season.
