Rookie NBA guard Svi Mykhailiuk and 7-footer Alex Len could line up for the Ukrainian national team for the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in September.
The news, first reported by Oleksandr Proshuta, will bolster the Ukraine side, who will face off against Spain, Turkey, Latvia, Montenegro and European champions Slovenia.
Ukraine will need the services of the two NBAers, as they will play against Spain and Montenegro in September.
They begin the second round of the World Cup Qualifiers with a 3-3 record, with Spain, Turkey and Latvia in pole position in Group I.
According to Ukrainian federation, both Svi Mikhailiuk & Alex Len declared their will to play for Ukraine NT during September #FIBAWC window. Now FBU are in talks with NBA on players insurance. It's the most important question to be solved them to play vs Spain & Montenegro
