Ed Warner, former Chairman of British Basketball, talked to iSportsconnect and referred to the ongoing conflict between FIBA and the EuroLeague.

On the battle between FIBA and the EuroLeague: “It’s been going on for years now and it really goes to the heart of whether international federations actually own the sport. They might own World Championships but you can’t say they can control every tournament format.”
On the competition between the FIBA Champions League and the EuroLeague: “I don’t see the Basketball Champions League knocking EuroLeague down anytime soon. […] I suspect EuroLeague is here to stay and probably they are going to call the tune for some time to come.”
