According to Eurohoops.net, Alexey Shved is expected to retain his place in Khimki’s roster for the 2018/19 season.

The 29-year-old guard, who was the EuroLeague’s top scorer and won the Alphonso Ford Top Scorer award, is under contract with the Russians until the end of the 2019/20 season. However, his contract includes an NBA opt-out option.

Although he was in talks with NBA teams in order to make his return to the best league in the world, he decided to remain with Khimki and help the squad reach the Final Four.

Shved averaged 21.8 points and 5.2 assists with the Russian club in the EuroLeague last season.
