According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, power forward Anthony Randolph will retain his place in the team, although he was reportedly ready to leave the 2018 Euroleague champions a few weeks ago.

The experienced power forward, who is under contract with the club until the end of the 2019/20 season, didn’t have much playing time in the last part of the season (Euroleague Final Four and ACB playoffs) and was expected to be let go.

However, and according to the report, Randolph still has a central role in coach Pablo Laso’s tactics, so he will retain his place in the Spanish squad.

Given that no Euroleague clubs have made an offer so far, Randolph can leave the club only to play for an NBA team, as there is an NBA opt-out clause in his contract.

The 29-year-old player averaged 9.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in almost 20 minutes of action with the “Whites” last season in the Euroleague. He also missed 15 regular season games due to injury.
