According to some Greek media, Olympiacos has made an offer to Ilysiakos for their top scorer, Jimmy Baxter.

Olympiacos has been suffering at the small forward position during entire season and even with the return of Panos Vasilopoulos the position is rather weak, especially when it comes to scoring.

Jimmy Baxter is the second leading scorer of Greek A1 and the top scorer of his team (averaging 17.1 ppg), the Athens-based Ilysiakos. The club is struggling to avoid relegation and are hesitant to give up on the player, but their dire financial situation could make them accept Olympiacos’ offer.

As it turns out, Olympiacos is not the only team interested in the 30 year old American as Ilysiakos claims to have offers from mroe teams both inside and outside Greece.

The Greek Cup holders have already redundant non-Greek players (they have seven, while only six are allowed to play in Greek A1), so in case Ilysiakos accepts the offer Baxter could only play in Euroleague games.
