AEK Athens have reached an agreement with former Armani Milano coach, Luca Banchi, who is expected to become the club’s new head coach.

Banchi was in talks with the Greek team and had a meeting with AEK’s owner, Makis Aggelopoulos, earlier today in Athens.

Their discussion revolved around the Italian coach’s plan for the team and his playing style as well as the budget and  the changes that need to be made to the active roster.

Banchi now is one step away from signing with the 2018 Basketball Champions League champions and becoming the first Italian head coach in the history of the club. The team’s official announcement is expected on Sunday (01/07).
