It was a good night for Real Madrid, as they went up 2-1 in the Liga Endesa finals against Baskonia and they secured the services of one of their favourite sons.

Veteran Rudy Fernandez has signed a two-year deal with the newly-crowned EuroLeague champions.

In a deal that was first reported by Spanish outlet Marca, Fernandez, who joined Real from Denver Nuggets in 2012 has guided the Spanish giants to two EuroLeague titles and three Liga Endesa crowns.

Last season, in reduced minutes, Fernandez averaged 7.9 points a game in the EuroLeague.
