The 2018 BBL play-off final will see Leicester Riders defend their title at The O2 Arena next Sunday against the hometown London Lions, who are back at the season climax after last featuring in 2015.

Riders will be out to make it a BBL championship, BBL Trophy and BBL play-offs treble for a second successive campaign having achieved the feat during 2016-17.

Holding a handy 15-point lead from their first semi-final meeting with Bristol Flyers, they shrugged off a sticky start against their opponents to win 76-68. It was JR Holder who impressed with an 18-point and 10-rebound double-double.

Meanwhile, Lions will be assured of plenty of local support next week and will be looking to make up for being shot down by Newcastle on their last appearance at The 02 three years ago.

They were underdogs at the Emirates Arena on Sunday night, having not been able to take an advantage to Glasgow from the first leg when they played at home.

However, they blasted past Rocks 91-77, thanks to six players managing double-figure scoring returns – including Jonathon Thompson who went 7/9 from the field.
