French side Limoges looks set to compete in net season’s EuroCup, the team’s general manager has said.

Limoges GM Olivier Bourgain confirmed the plans for his team to BeoBasket.

“Limoges has always been close to the EuroLeague, and the EuroLeague has reached out to us this summer when it did not necessarily have sporting reasons to do so,” Bourgain said.

“In EuroCup, I do not see how it’s possible to refuse it, and then I pretend that the level of the EuroCup is higher than that of the BCL, quite simply. There are teams very close to the EuroLeague level, as Krasnodar, Kazan, Bayern.”
