French side Strasbourg is looking to participate in next season’s EuroLeague, according to French media network RMC Sport.

And while fellow French side ASVEL have actively hinted at their desire to join the EuroLeague, Strasbourg have been going about their business for a while.

EuroLeague CEO Jordi Bertomeu has said that while ASVEL is a major contender for next season, Strasbourg are building their case quietly.

The club’s management hopes to have a new arena with a EuroLeague-approved capacity of 10.000 minimum, ready before the team from Villeurbanne and is considering pumping up its budget to a sum around €10million in order to make its case more appealing than that of ASVEL.
